Hillhead 2026 – our cable reel solutions will be showcased alongside other products
CABLECADDY will be represented at Hillhead 2026 in June when Ceenorm exhibits for the first time at what is the number one go-to event for the quarrying, construction and recycling sectors – and it will offer visitors a chance to discover more about our industrial cable reel capabilities.
The show takes place over three days in a quarry in Buxton, Derbyshire – and Ceenorm (owners of Cablecaddy) will be exhibiting a range of products, including high-current plugs & sockets & low-voltage transformers, plus our bespoke distribution unit design capabilities.
And industrial cable reels will also form part of our event product showcase.
Hillhead is billed as the event for quarrying, construction and recycling – all sectors where industrial cable reel solutions may have a place. We offer a wide range of cable reel solutions including IP65 for outdoor use, and in a range of cable lengths and voltages. Casings including shock-resistant plastic, die cast aluminium and technopolymer steel, and we can offer PVC and rubber cabling.
As well as retractable power reels, we also offer products such as grounding reels.
Hillhead 2026 takes place at Hillhead Quarry, Buxton, from June 23-25. Find Ceenorm (and Cablecaddy) on stand RB9 (which is located in the welcome pavilion).

Hillhead 2026 – a chance to discover Cablecaddy’s cable reel solutions
CABLECADDY will be represented at Hillhead 2026 in June when Ceenorm exhibits for the first time at the number one go-to event for the quarrying, construction and recycling sectors.
The trade event takes place over three days in a quarry in Buxton, Derbyshire – and Ceenorm (owners of Cablecaddy) will be exhibiting a range of products & capabilities – including retractable cable reels, as well as other products such as high-current plugs & sockets & low-voltage transformers, alongside our bespoke distribution unit design capabilities.
High-current range
Ceenorm supplies a range of high-current plugs & sockets manufactured by Pfiffner (formerly Raucher & Stoecklin). They are designed for use in tougher, more challenging environments, and includes plugs & sockets ranging from 160A-600A, and up to 1000V. The products are IP55 or IP67 – with options including plugs & sockets suitable for temporary immersion in seawater.
Bals TE range
Ceenorm is the sole distributor in the UK for Bals – a well-respected German manufacturer of plugs & sockets with a reputation for quality. Part of the extensive Bals offering is the TE range – a range of plugs & sockets which are suitable for harsher environments.
Low-voltage transformers
Transpower manufactures site, workshop, panel & distribution transformers, mainly up to 45kVA. We hold stock of a wide range of commonly requested specifications but also offer a bespoke service.
Distribution equipment
Ceenorm’s in-house projects team designs and builds bespoke distribution units up to 630A. The team can supply units for permanent installations or temporary power, utilising plastic, rubber or metal enclosures. They can supply units designed for use in multiple sectors, including building & construction, recycling plants & facilities, & heavy industry.
Cable reels
Cablecaddy– a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ceenorm – supplies a range of retractable cable reel solutions, including IP65 reels, suitable for outdoor use and heavy industry applications.

Grounding reels colour changed to reflect their use – our specialist cable reel range
CABLECADDY’S specialist cable reel range includes grounding reels for electrostatic discharge – with a range of IP42 and IP65 reels available. And some of our reels have just been given a design change, and are now yellow and green, to reflect their use.
Grounding reels are used for the elimination of electrostatic loads (for example hydrocarbon transfer trucks, fuels and combustible materials) and are supplied in a range of lengths with a H05 V-F single core yellow-green cable.
Also known as earthing reels – or antistatic earthing reels – these retractable reels can be supplied with different casings including polycarbonate and steel. Their main purpose is to create a low-resistance path to ground, preventing static electricity build up, reducing electrical fault risk and protecting both equipment and personnel.
Explosion proof clips are also available (the cable reel itself is not explosion proof) and the clips are suitable for use in potentially explosive atmospheres – including warehouses, the aviation industry, refineries, naval facilities and with tankers.
The reels which have changed are the 4000, 5000 and 7000 Series (IP42). All part codes remain the same, it is purely the colours of the reels that have changed.
Other industrial cable reel solutions offered by Cablecaddy include power reels, data transmission reels, EV charging cable extension reels, industrial balancers and multi-socket Combi-Cubes.

Cable reels and bespoke distribution units all part of One Way Group project
CABLECADDY & Ceenorm recently worked with the One Way Group on a project to upgrade one of their client’s (Suez) existing LV infrastructure, which had reached the end of its service life (and also contained asbestos) – a project which involved both industrial cable reels and bespoke distribution units.
The project included Ceenorm’s custom-build department designing a localised power distribution solution for nine of their welding and fabrication bays. Each system included 2 x RCD protected 32A 400V socket outlets, 2 x 16A 110V socket outlets, and 1 x 32A 110V socket outlet.
The bespoke distribution units designed and built by Ceenorm are each used to supply power to three IP42 retractable cable reels (supplied by Cablecaddy) supplying 2 x IP42 17m+2m retractable cable reels, and an IP42 8m+2m cable reel.
Ceenorm’s custom-build team designs and builds low-voltage electrical distribution equipment up to 630A, for permanent and temporary electrical installations – all designed and built to exact requirements.
Cablecaddy is a wholly owned subsidiary of Ceenorm UK Ltd – making it easy to work side by side on projects like this one.
